Who we are

Afaao is a revenue operations consultancy based in Toronto, Canada. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Afaao. If you have any questions about your information, email us at hello@afaao.com.

What we collect

Information you give us: when you use our contact form we collect your name, company, email, phone number if you add it, and your message. When you book a call through Calendly, Calendly collects the details you enter there and shares them with us. Information collected automatically: we use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website. It uses cookies to collect things like the pages you visit, how you found our site, your browser and device type, and your approximate location (city or region, never your exact address). We also record clicks on our booking, email and LinkedIn links so we know which parts of the site are useful.

Business visitor insights

We use Apollo.io to see which companies visit our website. It matches the network you browse from to a company name and records the pages viewed, so we can understand which businesses are interested in our services. We use this at the company level and do not use it to identify individual visitors.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to you, set up and run calls you book, and improve our website and services. If you contact us about a project, we may follow up about that project. We don't add you to a newsletter or marketing list unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share it with the service providers that help us run the site and our business: Web3Forms (delivers contact form messages to our inbox), Calendly (call booking), Google (analytics and email), Apollo.io (business visitor insights) and Netlify (website hosting). They process it on our behalf and some of them store data outside Canada, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep contact and project emails for as long as we need them to work with you and meet our business and legal obligations. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account and is then deleted automatically.

Cookies and your choices

When you first visit, a cookie notice lets you accept or decline analytics and visitor insights, and we remember your choice. Visitors from the EU and UK are not tracked unless they click Accept. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt out browser add on. The site works the same without them.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and similar laws where you live, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@afaao.com and we'll reply within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
